SAMHSA: Pathways' Housing First model has been named an evidence-based practice by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).  SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) is a searchable online registry of mental health and substance abuse interventions that have been reviewed and rated by independent reviewers.

Washington Post:  12.27.07  Marc Fisher, a well respected writer for the Washington Post, profiled a Pathways' tenant in this article which was featured on the front page of the Metro section.  Gregory moved into his own apartment this month after years spent in and out of homelessness. 

NBC News Channel Four 12.25.07  Washington's News Channel 4 aired this piece on Christmas day as part of their "12 Days of Giving" series featuring local non-profits.  Click on Day 12 to hear Anthony talk about the importance of having Christmas in his own home after being on the streets for seven years.

Fannie Mae broadcast on NBC Channel Four:  11.13.07  Pathways DC staff and tenants were profiled as part of Fannie Mae's special on homelessness entitled "Homeward Bound".

CBS News:  11.22.07  Pathways was profiled on this nationally televised piece in which CBS followed "Doretha" from the streets to her new apartment after over 20 years of homelessness.

Associated Press:  D.C. has one of the highest rates of homelessness for veterans in the country.  In this piece by the Associated Press, Steve speaks of his experience living on the streets and moving into his apartment from Pathways DC.
